The MG Hector Plus diesel is priced slightly higher than the petrol-manual trim, costing about Rs 2.0 lakh more than the MG Hector Plus petrol-manual. Meanwhile, the petrol-automatic costs about Rs 1.33 lakh more than the petrol-manual. While the premium for the automatic transmission is a bit higher than our expectations, the diesel powertrain is extremely expensive compared to the petrol-manual variant.
